Make your Shopify store accessible to everyone with AI-powered accessibility features. This guide will walk you through installation, setup, and using all the features available in the AccessioAI Shopify app.

Quick Start

Installation

  1. Find the App: Visit the Shopify App Store and search for "AccessioAI Web Accessibility"
  2. Install: Click "Add app" and approve the permissions
  3. Enable Widget: Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize → App embeds and enable AccessioAI
  4. Choose Your Plan: Select a subscription plan that fits your store's traffic

That's it! Your store now has accessibility features enabled.

Enabling the Accessibility Widget

After installation, you need to enable the app embed:

  1. Go to your Shopify admin
  2. Navigate to Online Store → Themes
  3. Click Customize on your active theme
  4. Click the settings icon (left sidebar)
  5. Scroll to App embeds
  6. Find AccessioAI Widget and toggle it ON
  7. Click Save

The accessibility widget will now appear on all pages of your store.

Managing Your Subscription

Viewing Usage

To see your current usage:

  1. Open the AccessioAI app from your Shopify admin
  2. Your dashboard shows:
    • Current plan tier
    • Page views used this month
    • Quota remaining
    • Visual progress bar

Upgrading Your Plan

  1. Click Manage Subscription in the app
  2. View all available plans
  3. Click Upgrade on your desired plan
  4. Complete the Stripe checkout process
  5. Your new plan activates immediately

Downgrading or Canceling

To change or cancel your subscription:

  1. Go to Settings → Apps and sales channels
  2. Find AccessioAI
  3. Click Cancel subscription or contact [email protected]

Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period.

Understanding Page Views

What counts as a page view?

  • Each time a visitor loads a page on your store
  • Multiple pages in one session count separately
  • Bots and crawlers are filtered out

What happens if I exceed my quota?

  • The app will stop processing new page views
  • Your existing accessibility features remain active
  • You'll see a notification to upgrade
  • Quota resets at the start of each billing cycle

Troubleshooting

Widget Not Appearing

Problem: The accessibility widget doesn't show on my store

Solutions:

  1. Verify the app embed is enabled (see Enabling the Widget)
  2. Clear your browser cache and reload
  3. Check if your theme is compatible (most modern themes work)
  4. Contact support if the issue persists

Alt Text Not Generating

Problem: Product images don't have alt text

Solutions:

  1. Ensure you're on Starter plan or higher
  2. The AI processes images in batches - allow 24 hours
  3. Very low-quality images may not generate alt text
  4. Manual review recommended for critical products

Exceeded Quota

Problem: "Quota exceeded" message appears

Solutions:

  1. Upgrade to a higher plan with more page views
  2. Wait until next billing cycle (quota resets monthly)
  3. Contact us for Enterprise unlimited plan

Payment Failed

Problem: Subscription payment didn't process

Solutions:

  1. Update your payment method in Stripe
